Meet Victor Adolfo Diaz-Cotrina, MD

Dr. Diaz-Cotrina is a board-certified neurologist and vascular neurologist with over a decade of experience in academic and private practice settings, bringing deep neurological expertise to the care team at Mind Link.

Background & Training

Dr. Diaz-Cotrina completed his neurology residency at the University of Wisconsin–Madison and his vascular neurology fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He currently serves as Director of the Neurohospitalist Service and Vascular Neurologist at Orlando Health Neuroscience Institute, where he is also a faculty member in the neurology residency program.

Clinical Focus

His clinical and academic interests focus on acute stroke care, cerebrovascular disease, neurohospitalist medicine, advanced neuroimaging, and psychiatry. That combination matters: many mental health concerns intersect with neurological conditions, and having a board-certified neurologist on the team means care at Mind Link can account for the full picture — brain and mind together.

Approach to Care

With more than ten years across academic medicine and private practice, Dr. Diaz-Cotrina combines rigorous, evidence-based evaluation with a teaching physician's clarity — patients should understand what is happening, why, and what comes next.

Dr. Diaz-Cotrina sees patients through Mind Link's neurology telehealth service, by secure video anywhere in Florida — covering migraine and headache, epilepsy and seizure disorders, stroke follow-up and prevention, multiple sclerosis, memory loss, vertigo, sleep disorders, and nerve pain.
