Background & Education

Maria's path in mental healthcare spans more than 13 years of healthcare experience, including clinical work in psychiatric settings throughout South Florida. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Miami Dade College, completed her Master of Science in Nursing at South University in Savannah, and went on to earn advanced training in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing from the University of Miami. She holds board certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).

Clinical Focus

Her clinical focus includes the evaluation and treatment of anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, trauma-related conditions, and other mental health concerns, with compassionate, evidence-based care that combines thorough psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and supportive therapy. Rather than applying a standard template, Maria provides personalized care tailored to each individual's goals — and adjusts the plan as life changes.

A native Spanish speaker, Maria provides fully bilingual care — Maria atiende a pacientes en español e inglés — and believes in building strong therapeutic relationships — a supportive, judgment-free environment where patients feel heard and empowered, and are active participants in their own treatment. Whether in person or through convenient telepsychiatry from the comfort of home, her approach is direct and warm: patients should leave every appointment knowing what comes next.
